Lindsi Kerstetter called the meeting to order at 7:09 PM.
Quorum was certified. Board members present were Lindsi Kerstetter, Debbie Hill, and Mary Bohn.
Minutes from the prior meeting were approved.
Treasurer’s Report
Debbie reviewed the latest month’s expenses. There are three remaining homeowners who have not paid this year’s HOA dues, plus David Karr for the empty lot. Debbie determine that we do have enough money for the proposed street maintenance.
Grounds/Facilities Report
One additional tree has been planted at the front entrance. Scenic Maintenance has said that it will take the tree a few months to acclimate to the soil, and they will replace it at no cost to the HOA if the tree doesn’t live.
Lindsi will work on consolidating a list of current email addresses for our community so we can later request homeowner feedback regarding covenant changes to restrict home leases/rentals, etc. (in progress)
Ad Hoc Committee Reports
There are none to report.
Old Business
Street repairs
Kevin is working on obtain at least one additional quote before a decision is made.
Actions underway regarding the issue of basketball goals in the front easements:
HOA Lawyer (Matthew Winton of Winton Law) sent a letter to the Gracey’s attorney on June 10th. The basketball goal has since been removed.
Concern regarding the number of leased homes within our community:
Mr. Winton provided a proposed amendment for the HOA board to review. We all need to read it prior to the next meeting.
New Business
Regarding covenant 8.1.6 (requiring that each interior lot contain at least one three-inch caliper diameter tree), Virginia Roberts responded by email that she had planted a patio peach tree in the front flower bed in the Spring of 2014 and felt that she met the requirement. Several board members drove by the house following the meeting and did not see anything that qualified as a three-inch caliper tree.
Date and location for next meeting
The next meeting will be held on Monday, August 3rd, at 7:00 PM at Hill home.
