Street repairs at Wild Creek Drive and 158th and 159th – the other Lone Oak HOAs are investigating getting quotes for street repair in all of our Lone Oak gated communities, hoping that we can save money by combining our needs. We will hold on this discussion until the Lone Oak Network Meeting (see further detail under New Business)
Actions underway as follow-up to the basketball goal discussion:
As stated in the March minutes, the Board reviewed the HOA covenants regarding structures (article VIII, section 8.1.2) and voted unanimously that the basketball goals installed facing the street at the Gracey and Goodger homes do represent covenant violations. Mary drafted the non-compliance letters, which were reviewed by the Board members. She will send certified letters to these homeowners giving them 30 days to remove the goals. (Note: the letters were mailed on April 7, 2015)
In the prior meeting, the Board discussed whether we could provide a basketball goal in one of the HOA common areas. Kevin obtain an informal quote of $6K for the concrete pad for a half court (30’ x 25’).
Lindsi will contact the Lone Oak developers, who initially wrote the covenants for all of the Lone Oak communities, for their understanding of the covenant regarding structures.
New Business
David Castro requested concurrence to build a pergola with attachments to the roof and side of his house. The address is 4621 NW 158th Street.
There is no issue with this request. Lindsi will email approval, reminding the homeowner to keep the structure clear of the 15 foot easement (set back) on their property. (Note: Lindsi responded to the homeowner on 4/7/15)
Wesley Cadena requested concurrence to build a free-standing pergola without attachments. The address is 4640 NW 159th Street.
There is no issue with this request. Lindsi will email approval, reminding the homeowner to keep the structure clear of the 15 foot easement (set back) on their property. (Note: Lindsi responded to the homeowner on 4/7/15)
We have been asked to assist in funding Christmas lights in December at the Lone Oak entrances at NW150th and NW164th streets. The cost to our HOA will be less than $50. The Board agreed to participate.
The Lone Oak Network is a group open to all Lone Oak HOA Presidents and Board members, and is intended to address items common to all of the Lone Oak communities. The next meeting is June 10th at 6:30 PM at the Francis Tuttle Rockwell Campus, room B1035 (furthest building on the southeast end).
As mentioned above, street repairs will be a topic at this meeting.
Covenant changes regarding home rentals are being discussed.
Our Board will ask if any of the other neighborhoods have, or are considering, gate cameras.
Date and location for next meeting
The next meeting will be held on Monday, May 4, at 7:00 PM at the Hill home.
