Lone Oak Creek Homeowners’ Association Minutes
May 14, 2018
1. The meeting was called to order at 7:02 PM.
2. Quorum was certified. Board members present were Lindsi Kerstetter, Debbie Hill, Jennifer
Roberts, Nick Nixon, and Mary Bohn.
3. Minutes from the prior meeting were approved.
4. Treasurer’s Report
a. Status on liens for unpaid dues from 2017 and prior (Debbie will research this in late
May for the 3 homeowners in this category)
b. Status on 2018 dues (Debbie – there are 6 unpaid dues for the current year. New
statements with interest will be mailed to the homeowners.)
5. Grounds/Facilities Report
a. Landscaping
i. Nick will work on an overall plan for the flower beds. The Board needs to purchase
the plants for Fernando to add to the flower beds.
1. One redbud tree is needed at the entry to replace a dead tree.
2. Debbie will determine a budget for flowers due to expected costs for sprinkler
repairs, brick work at the front gates, and street repairs.
b. Status on sprinkler repairs by JMac (Debbie will meet with the sprinkler company
during the week of May 14)
i. Water break at front entrance
ii. Broken sprinkler head in the Wild Creek common area
iii. Possible break at the playground
c. Update on street light which is out at the entrance. (Lindsi – repair completed)
d. Street sign for 159th & Creek Heights, which we have been unable to fix. (on hold)
e. Replace “open inward” sign on the front exit gate (Nick – use Fast Signs)
6. Ad Hoc Committee Reports – none
7. Old Business
a. Bricks have fallen off the wall at the entrance.
i. Nick had a brick layer out for an estimate and determined that work was also
needed on the brick wall on the north side of the entry. Via text, in the week
following the meeting, Nick obtained the following quotes:
1. Hector $2500
2. Frankie $3000
3. Ronnie $3300
ii. Via text, the Board selected Hector, who provided references and was the lowest
bidder. The work has been completed.
b. Gate code changes
i. For the house built last year by Carr (complete)
c. The annual neighborhood walkthrough has been scheduled for June 13th. The Board
will meet at the Hill home at 7:00 to begin, and we’ll also look at the fences in the
common areas.
8. New Business
a. A couple interested in a house in our community has asked whether an enclosed trailer
can be parked in the driveway. The Board agreed via text that this would violate the
covenants. Lindsi will communicate with the couple (Lindsi – complete).
9. Date and time of the next meeting – Monday, June 11, at 7:00 PM at the Hill home.
